Joe and Mika Meet With Trump at Mar-A-Lago in Potential Sign of Submission

Co-hosts of MSNBC’s “Morning Joe,” Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski, disclosed on Monday that they had visited the president-elect’s Mar-a-Lago estate late last week to engage in discussions with Donald Trump regarding the unification of the nation and the reduction of political rhetoric.

Brzezinski informed the audience of the program that it was the first time the two married presenters had encountered Trump in person in seven years.

“We didn’t see eye-to-eye on a lot of issues, and we told him so,” Scarborough claimed.

“What we did agree on was to restart communications,” Brzezinski added.

“In this meeting, he was upbeat, cheerful and he seemed interested in finding common ground on some of the most divisive issues,” she continued.

“For those asking why we would go speak with the president-elect during such fraught times, especially between us. I guess I would ask back: ‘Why wouldn’t we?’” she concluded.

Scarborough also stated that prominent Democrats, who frequently appear on Scarborough’s program, have expressed their willingness to collaborate with the former president.

For years, Scarborough and Brzezinski have been among the most vocal critics of Trump on cable news. They are the hosts of a program that Trump has evidently viewed, and that also includes President Biden as a viewer.

Since Election Day, the network has encountered a double-digit percentage decline in viewership.
