Author Shreds Fellow Panelists for Pro-China Bias During CNN Panel

During a recent CNN panel discussion, author Batya Ungar-Sargon reportedly called out her fellow panelists for seemingly siding with China over President Donald Trump regarding trade negotiations.

The conversation arose after China denied having any discussions with Trump about potential trade agreements, despite Trump’s claims to the contrary.

Ungar-Sargon expressed disbelief at her colleagues’ willingness to trust a foreign adversary, labeling it “insane” and an embarrassment.

“Why are you guys on China’s side in this? It’s insane!” she exclaimed, highlighting the contradictions in their stance.

Former NewsNation host Dan Abrams acknowledged the ambiguity of China’s statements but emphasized that there were clearly differing narratives coming from the country.

SiriusXM host John Fugelsang questioned how the public could trust Trump to be truthful.

Ungar-Sargon countered, pointing out the absurdity of trusting China over the President of the United States, who garnered over 80 million votes from American citizens.

She deemed it “pathetic” for her peers to prefer the word of a foreign power over that of a democratically elected leader.

Fugelsang argued that no countries would trust Trump due to his perceived dishonesty, referencing Trump’s withdrawal from international agreements like the Iran nuclear deal and the Paris Accord.

However, Ungar-Sargon countered that over 100 countries were engaging with the Trump administration regarding tariff negotiations.

As the debate intensified, Ungar-Sargon challenged her fellow panelists directly, asking, “Are you not embarrassed to give preference to China over the United States?”

This exchange highlighted the growing tensions in the dialogue surrounding U.S.-China relations and the complexities of trust in political discourse.
