A new poll from CBS is bad news for the Democrats and President Joe Biden as the midterms loom less than a month away.
The poll predicted the Republicans will take control of the House of Representatives in November and the economy is the main issue.
Getting most of the blame for the economy is President Joe Biden and the direction of the economy has stalled any momentum the Democrats had.
Making matters worse is the fact that 65% of those polled felt like the economy was bad and is only getting worse, The Daily Wire reports.
President Biden put the country at risk by depleting the strategic petroleum reserve in hopes that he could drive gas prices down. It didn’t work.
63% of those polled said gas prices were going up near them, not down.
But it isn’t just Joe Biden. 48% of those polled said that Democrat policies were hurting the economy and only 29% felt they were helping.
The report continuedL
In addition, just over two-thirds (68%) said that the Biden administration could be doing more to combat inflation — while 29% said that the administration was doing everything that it could.
Nearly two-thirds said that President Biden bore either “a lot” (45%) or “some” (26%) responsibility for the current state of the economy — and well over one-third of respondents (42%) said that Republican policies would likely help the economy.
Biden appears to ignoring the news telling reporters that the economy is “strong as hell” and that inflation was a global problem.
CNBC Anchor Jim Cramer disagreed saying, “It was just plain bad. There’s absolutely nothing to say about it other than it was bad.”
