Democrat Senator Bob Menendez (NJ) is under investigation for corruption and the probe is focusing in on his wife, reports indicate.
Menendez’s wife Nadine Arslanian is under investigation for accepting gifts from individuals seeking favors from the senator, The Daily Caller reports.

Subpoenas issued by the U.S. Southern District of New York have been issued to associates of Menendez’s wife, Nadine Arslanian, who he married in 2020, The Wall Street Journal (WSJ) reported. They seek information related to Menendez and Arslanian, the people told WSJ. The WSJ report does not specify the information prosecutors seek related to Arslanian.
Several months ago, prosecutors subpoenaed a New Jersey lawyer viewed as a longtime friend of Arslanian, WSJ reported. They have known each other for 25 years and they are both Armenian, the lawyer told the outlet. New Jersey media reported Arslanian is an international businesswoman when she married Menendez.
The probe supposedly dates back years with federal investigators initially serving seach warrants on the home and office of businessman based in New Jersey in 2019.
Menendez was on trial for corruption in 2015, that trial eventually ended in a mistrial.
