Trace Gallagher will reportedly be moved to the 11:00 p.m. time slot starting July 17 as part of a new shakeup, Fox News said on Monday.
“It worked at midnight, and I think it’s going to be a star at 11,” Gallagher said of the move in a statement to Fox News digital.
“Everything going on is live. So, that’s a big thing for our push to 11 p.m.… it’s 8 p.m. in California. People are still outside having dinner. It’s current. It’s now, we are still covering the news. The news day is still in progress,” he continued.
Greg Gutfeld used to anchor the 11:00 p.m. hour; Gallagher, who now presents the midnight hour, will shift his “FOX News @ Night” program to that time.
The anchor Jesse Watters will take up the 8:00 p.m. time slot, the network said on June 26.
Watters’ 7:00 p.m. time slot will be filled by host Laura Ingraham, while Gutfeld will host at 10:00 p.m. Sean Hannity will continue to air at 9:00 p.m.
Just days after the publication said it was cutting ties with Dan Bongino, Fox announced in late April that it was saying goodbye to former star Tucker Carlson.
Since then, Carlson has begun to conduct his own program on Twitter.
