An incident occurred when Rep. Frank Lucas (R-Okla.) was reportedly working at his ranch on Friday, according to a post on X, the website that replaced Twitter.
According to the post, Lucas had a non-life-threatening injury while working at his ranch in Roger Mills County on Friday morning.
He was then sent to the University of Oklahoma Medical Center in Oklahoma City.
“Frank and his family are in good spirits and are sincerely grateful to the tremendous team of doctors, nurses, and others taking care of him. Congressman Lucas will be back on the ranch and in the district soon and expects to make a speedy recovery.” Lucas’s twitter account stated.
Regarding the circumstances of his injury, no more information was disclosed has so far been released.
Lucas, who serves as the chairman of the House Committee on Science, Space, and Technology, was first elected to the House of Representatives in a special election in 1994. He is the Third Congressional District representative for Oklahoma.
