During a recent discussion about Hunter Biden’s international business dealings during a 2020 presidential debate, CNN’s Jake Tapper reportedly acknowledged that Donald Trump was right and Joe Biden was mistaken.
“And this directly goes against what Joe Biden said in the debate in 2020 with Donald Trump,” Tapper said.
“Trump was right. I mean, [Hunter] did make a fortune from China, and Joe Biden was wrong. I don’t know that he was lying about it. He might not have been told by Hunter, but this blind spot is a problem.” Tapper continued.
As Congressional Republicans continue to investigate Hunter’s international business dealings and his father’s alleged influence in securing more than $20 million since he assumed office as vice president in 2009, Tapper made the remark during a roundtable discussion on the scandal currently engulfing the president and his administration.
Bank records show that when Joe Biden was vice president, oligarchs from Russia, Ukraine, and Kazakhstan paid millions of dollars to Hunter Biden, his Rosemont Seneca entities, and his business partner Devon Archer, sometimes for work services (such as his board position at Ukrainian energy company Burisma Holdings), in other cases for less obvious reasons.
This information was revealed in a memo released last week by the Republicans on the House Oversight Committee.
