Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-Colo.), who was reportedly disruptive and seen vaping indoors at a concert in new video that surfaced on Thursday, was removed out of a performance of the musical “Beetlejuice” on Sunday night.
The footage, which 9News.com was able to obtain, appears to go against a denial of her indoor vaping made by Boebert’s office following the event.
In the footage, Boebert can be seen stooping to reach inside her handbag, which is hidden behind her seat.
Other guests around are seen attempting to find their seats as she brings the item to her mouth and blows smoke from it.
During the event, a woman seated behind her is observed conversing with her.
The expectant woman reportedly told The Denver Post that she begged Boebert to give up vaping but that he refused.
Before security asked her to leave, Boebert was then observed snapping flash shots during the performance.
In a statement made to The Hill on Wednesday, Boebert’s campaign manager, Drew Sexton, confirmed that the congresswoman had been led out of the theater on Sunday, but he refuted reports that she had been vaping.
“I can confirm the stunning and salacious rumors: in her personal time, Congresswoman Lauren Boebert is indeed a supporter of the performing arts (gasp!) and, to the dismay of a select few, enthusiastically enjoyed a weekend performance of ‘Beetlejuice,’” Sexton said in a statement.
The two spectators were given a warning to halt particular behavior during intermission after three audience members complained, according to an incident record that The Denver Post was able to obtain.
According to the allegation, the customers were removed out after security got another complaint about their continued inappropriate behavior.
