Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee, a Democrat from Texas, is said to have yelled at one of her staff workers on audio that was captured.
She allegedly called two coworkers “f- -k-ups” and said that they lacked brains, according to recordings that Texas newspaper Current Revolt published on Saturday.
Over the course of her 28-year career in Congress, Jackson Lee has established a reputation as one of the most outspoken lawmakers. Her extended tenure in congress has featured Hillary Clinton’s support.
Additionally, the congresswoman ran for mayor of Houston in an election held outside of the regular election season. If she were to win, it might be the last time she serves in Congress.
“I don’t want you to do a goddam thing. I want you to have a f—ing brain. I want you to have read it. I want you to say, Congresswoman, with such and such date. That’s what I want. That’s the kind of staff that I want to have. So some stupid other motherfucker did it.” Jackson Lee says in the audio.
“When I called Jerome, he only sitting up there like a fat ass stupid idiot talking about, uh, what the f*ck? He doesn’t know. Okay? Both of y’all are f*ck ups [inaudible]. It’s the worst shit that I could have ever had put together.” she continues.
