On Wednesday, former president Donald Trump lauded the support of a former Black Lives Matter leader and expressed his “extreme honor” at receiving his endorsement in addition to “BLM’s backing.”
Mark Fisher, co-founder of Black Lives Matter Rhode Island and according to Fox News, stated on the network that the Democratic Party was hypocritical and “not for” black people.
Fisher stated that Trump has recently accomplished more for black people than the Democratic Party.
In response to the BLM activist’s commendation, Trump lauded him on social media and speculated that he may have accomplished more for black people than any other president in history.
“Spoke with Mark Fisher yesterday, a great guy, very honored to have his and BLM’s support. I have done more for Black people than any other President (Lincoln?), including 10 year funding for Historically Black Colleges and Universities, where they had none, Opportunity Zones, Criminal Justice Reform, and much more. Thank you to Mark!” Trump wrote on his Truth Social platform.
For weeks, Black Lives Matter has been subjected to severe criticism following the public endorsement of Hamas’ terrorist attacks against Israel by multiple chapters.
A significant portion of the billions of dollars in damages incurred by U.S. cities throughout the George Floyd disturbances in the summer of 2020 were also attributable to the pro-Marxist organization.
