Former Fox News star Tucker Carlson appeared to mostly rule out serving as former President Donald Trump’s running mate in 2024 in a statement he released on Thursday night.
In response to a guest’s inquiry regarding an Axios report from Thursday alleging that Melania Trump has considered Tucker Carlson for the position of vice president, he stated the following.
“God would have to yell at me very loud” Carlson said at a recent Gala event.
Carlson noted that it was difficult for him to envision making the transition from media commentator to politician, he said.
Despite extensive rumors, Carlson has stated that he has no intention of standing for president.
In a July 2022 interview with Semafor editor-in-chief Ben Smith, he stated unequivocally that he has “zero ambition” to seek the presidency and has no desire for authority.
